Truecaller has launched its new Guardians app. This app is developed on Caller ID platform. Using this, users will be able to send their location to their family members in times of emergency. It means that it will act as your protection during difficult times. The app is specially designed keeping in mind the safety of women.
This app has been prepared by a team from Sweden and India in 15 months. Alan Mamedi, the company's co-founder and CEO, said that there are many apps related to personal safety and location sharing, but Guardians stands out.
How will it work?
Guardian App is developed by True Caller. In such a case, if you are a Truecaller user, you can log into the Guardians app with the same ID. If you are not True Caller user, in such case you can log in with phone number after verification. You can also get OTP by giving missed call. After this you have to give your location, contact and phone permission. You can share your location with as many people as you want on the Guardian List. You can stop sharing your location whenever you want.
Parents will get information from emergency notification
About the app, the company has said that even though users are sharing location, it works in the background. The company claims that it consumes the minimum battery of a smartphone. It will also have an emergency button, which you can tap to alert your parents.

You can always share location on the Guardians app. There will also be an option to choose a random option. Location sharing is also an option in case of emergency.
Along with the location of your phone, it will also show the battery and network position for the contact you selected. The company will also bring facility to alert local authorities in case of emergency.
User can also login to Guardians app with the help of Truecaller ID. Or can also login through phone number verification.
To use the app you need to give permission for location and contact. Its user interface is quite simple. You can have multiple people on the guardian list. Your emergency details will reach all of them.
