The bridge is 300 metres long and 14 metres wide, with a distance of 100 metres in between. This huge foot overbridge is on RCC pile foundation and steel supports. 2,100 metric tonnes of iron was used in the construction of the bridge. The foot overbridge will have RCC flooring, planters and stainless steel and glass railings. Kite-shaped sculptures will be installed on both sides. From the view of drone cameras, this bridge looks like a giant fish. Dynamic LED lights will also be installed on the bridge that can change colour, which will enhance the beauty of the bridge city even in the dark of night.

Expenditure of more than Rs 74 crore
The project was approved by the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited, or SRFDCL, on March 21, 2018. At that time, its cost was estimated to be Rs 74 crore. However, the cost of constructing the bridge is likely to cross Rs 90 crore.
The decorative theme of the bridge was a big challenge
The foot overbridge will be connected by two levels of walkways on either side of the riverfront, allowing easy access to both the upper and lower sides. Creating a decorative theme of a bridge made of kites was not that easy. However, it is being made possible due to the amazing work of the engineers.
