Ahmedabad-Mumbai High Speed Rail Project (Bullet Train) Director (Works)
Pramod Sharma visited Vadodara and surveyed the station and track construction
of bullet train. Talking to the media, he informed that the construction of
bullet train project in Vadodara is progressing at a fast pace. Slab casting
of first floor is going on in station operations for bullet trains. Out of
total 10 slabs, one slab has been completed.
He said that 'bullet train station will be built on platform number-7 of
Vadodara railway station so that passengers get direct connectivity with
railways. Just half a km from ST depot. is far away The design of the station
will be based on the theme of banyan trees. The station will have 3 floors.
There will be two platforms and four tracks. The height from the floor to the
ceiling will be 34.5 meters. The area of the station will be 16,467 square
meters. It will have waiting room, child care room, rest room, toilet, retail
market, business class lounge, locker room, vehicle parking facility.

Talking about the high speed rail training institute established in Vadodara,
he said that this institute has been started next to the National Academy of
Indian Railways. It is planned to accommodate 334 students at present.
There are facilities including 12 class rooms, 4 activity halls, auditorium
and train simulator. This institute will provide training to the employees and
officials of bullet train. It is worth mentioning that along with Pramod
Sharma, Pradeep Ahirkar, officer of Vadodara office of bullet train was also
present.
