Ambalal Patel Weather Forcast : Due to heavy rainfall in the districts of Saurashtra including Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh, Dwarka, the river has become flooded. Apart from this, many areas are flooded, weather expert Ambalal Patel has predicted heavy rain in many areas of Saurashtra and South Gujarat including North Gujarat by July 24. Along with this, as the rainy system is activated in the Bay of Bengal, rainy conditions will also be seen in the areas where the amount of rain is negligible in the state.
Heavy to very heavy rain forecast in Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar on July 23-24
While torrential rains have been falling in parts of the state including Saurashtra for the past few days, forecasting heavy to heavy rains in the coming days, Meteorologist Ambalal Patel has said, 'There is a possibility of heavy to heavy rains in the state due to the activation of the monsoon system in the Bay of Bengal. Whereas in the state, there is a possibility of heavy rain in most parts of Central Gujarat, South Gujarat and Saurashtra by July 24. In which up to 4 inches of rain can be recorded in different parts of central Gujarat. Along with this, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Patdi, Dasada, Viramgam, Sanand and other areas on July 23-24.
Lopar Cyclone: Monsoon has picked up speed again in the plains and hilly areas of India. Many states are experiencing heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, the IMD said that a low pressure system from the Bay of Bengal has turned into a storm named Lopar. According to the IMD, the system has moved west-northwest at a speed of 7 km per hour in the last six hours.

The monsoon trough is currently active and located south of its normal position. It is expected to remain in this condition for the next 2-3 days. Another trough is present on the sea floor. Which is spread from South Gujarat to North Kerala. Apart from this, a cyclonic circulation is affecting Northeast Arabian Sea and Saurashtra region.
Areas of South Gujarat will receive up to seven inches of rain
Ambalal Patel has said, 'There will be heavy rainfall in most areas of the state in the coming days. While most areas of South Gujarat are likely to receive up to seven inches of rain.
Apart from this, parts of North Gujarat including Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mehsana may receive three to four inches of rain. On the other hand, more rain is likely in parts of South Gujarat and Saurashtra.'
