Arun Govil has won the Meerut Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh by a huge margin against Samajwadi Party candidate Sunita Verma.
Why did BJP lose in Ayodhya?
This may not be a single reason but the biggest reason is that people were very angry there because of the demolition of the Ram temple and the nearby area in the name of development. Many people's houses, shops were demolished and in return many people did not get full compensation and some people got less. So people there were angry with BJP.
Another debate is that there MP member Lallu Singh did not do any work. In 5 years, they appeared only during elections.
