After Jio-Airtel now Vodafone Idea plans are expensive


Vodafone Idea, the country's third largest telecom company after Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, has increased mobile tariffs. The service provider has increased both prepaid and postpaid mobile tariffs by 10 to 21 percent. Vodafone Idea's decision to increase mobile tariffs will be effective from July 4, 2024.

In a regulatory filing with the stock exchange, Vodafone Idea informed about the decision to increase tariffs, saying that the company has maintained its principles of supporting entry-level users and keeping the entry-level price nominal, while more usage is linked to higher. If we look at the company's tariff hike, now the customer will have to pay Rs 199 for the Rs 179 plan. So Rs 509 will have to be paid for the Rs 459 plan and Rs 1999 for the Rs 1799 plan. In postpaid plans, Rs 451 will have to be paid for a plan of Rs 401, Rs 551 for a plan of Rs 501, Rs 701 for a family plan of Rs 601 and Rs 1201 for a family plan of Rs 1001.

Telecom companies have not increased mobile tariffs since December 2021. During this time, companies have launched services along with buying 5G spectrum. At the same time, Vodafone Idea is going to launch 5G service. After large-scale investment, companies have decided to increase the tariff.

Talking about unlimited voice plan, the plan of Rs 179 for 28 days has become Rs 199. The plan of Rs 459 has become Rs 509 for 84 days. The plan of Rs 1799 for 365 days has become Rs 1999. The 28-day plan of Rs 269 and Rs 299 has been increased to Rs 299 and Rs 349. The 1 month plan of Rs 319 has become Rs 379. Talking about data add-on plans, the Rs 19 plan has become Rs 22 and the Rs 39 plan has become Rs 48. The validity of these plans is 1 and 3 days.

Talking about post-paid plans, the 401,501 individual monthly fare has now increased to Rs 451, 551. The family plan has increased from Rs 601,1001 to Rs 701,1201.

Airtel has increased the tariff by 10-21%. According to the new plan, the Rs 179 plan will now be available for Rs 199. The prepaid tariff has increased by an average of less than 70 paise per day. Postpaid plans have increased by 10-20%. The Rs 399 postpaid plan will now be available for Rs 449. The increased rates will come into effect from July 3. Reliance Jio has also made recharge plans expensive. The company also gave this information on Wednesday. Jio had said that recharge plans are going to be expensive by 15 to 25 percent. Now after three years, the prices of recharge plans are being increased.

The prices of 17 prepaid and 2 postpaid plans will increase

Jio has now reduced the price of its cheapest Rs 155 plan to Rs 189. Which is a 22 percent increase. The shocking thing is that Jio announced this addition before Bharti Airtel. Reliance Jio has increased the prices of its 19 prepaid and postpaid plans. Out of which 17 are prepaid and 2 are postpaid plans.

Jio's Rs 209 prepaid plan has now been reduced to Rs 249. Its validity will be 28 days. The Rs 239 plan has now been reduced to Rs 299. It will also be valid for 28 days. While the Rs 299 plan has now become expensive to Rs 349. The price of Rs 349, Rs 399 and Rs 479 plans has now been reduced to Rs 399, Rs 449 and Rs 579 respectively.

Jio's postpaid plans prices increased so much

Jio has also made postpaid plans more expensive. The price of Rs 299 plan which gives 30GB data has now been reduced to Rs 349. While the Rs 399 plan which provides 75GB data has now become Rs 449.


New 28 Day Plan

Jio's Rs. 155, 209, 239, 299, 349 and 399 for 28-day plans, users now have to pay Rs. 189, 249, 299, 349, 399 and 449 will be spent. The telecom company has increased the recharge plan rates by 20 to 22 percent.

New 56 days plan

The company has reduced the price of its two month (56 days) recharge plans from Rs 479 and Rs 533 to Rs 579 and Rs 629 respectively.

New 84 day plan

Jio's Rs. 395, 666, 719 and 999 for 3 months (84 days) recharge plans respectively, users now have to pay Rs. 479, 799, 859 and 1199 will be spent.

New Annual Plan

Users will now have to spend Rs 1899 instead of Rs 1559 for Jio's 336 days annual plan. For the Rs 2999 plan for 365 days, users will now have to spend Rs 3599.

Not only this, Jio has also revised its data add-on plan rates. Users can now respectively Rs. 15, 25 and 61 for 1GB, 2GB and 6GB data plans respectively at Rs. 19, 29 and 69 have to be spent.
