The Statue of Unity is becoming a spectacular paradise for hikers. The more you come here, the less you walk around. Preparations are underway for a cruise in the Narmada river flowing past the Statue of Unity. This cruise will go as far as Madhya Pradesh. A cruise is planned to run from Havo Kevadia to Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh. By next Diwali, the cruise will be successfully floated in Narmada river.
The cruise will start around Sevadiwali from Kevadia to Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh so that more tourists can visit the Statue of Unity and experience the culture of the two states. Through which one can travel 120 km in the river.
The cruise will cover a distance of 120 km
Now a new look of cruise is coming at Kevadia. The special thing is that this cruise will go all the way to Madhya Pradesh. The cruise will cover a distance of 120 km from Kevadia to Madhya Pradesh. A total route of 120 km from Kevadia Statue of Unity to Chandankhedi, Kukshi has been fixed and from Kukshi the tourists will be taken by road to the Statue of Oneness at Omkareshwar.
A unique view will be enjoyed on the way
Tourists will also be visited Maheshwar, Mandalashwar and Mandu on the way. For this, two jetties will be established at Chandankhedi-Kukshi and Sakarja-Alirajpur in Madhya Pradesh and at Hamfeshwar-Chhota Udepur and Statue of Unity-Kevadia in Gujarat.
One JT in Madhya Pradesh, and another in Gujarat
An agreement has been signed between Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, Inland Waterways Authority of India and Gujarat Government for this cruise. Under this, two floating jetties (pontoons) have been sent from Kolkata to Kukshi in Madhya Pradesh. This pontoon will be used as a cruise terminal. Two floating jetties will be provided to Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, out of which this jetty has been delivered to Madhya Pradesh.
All necessary infrastructure for cruise tourism will be developed. 100 people can sit in the cruise. However, only announcements have been made so far. All the details like cruise arrival time, ticket rates and stopovers etc. are yet to be decided. This will be decided after the tender process.

For tourism in Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has signed MoU with Inland Waterways Authority of India and Government of Gujarat. Under this contract, two floating jetties (pontoons) have been sent from Kolkata to Kukshi in Madhya Pradesh. This pontoon will be used as a Kzana tunnel. It is proposed to run a cruise from Ekatma Dham at Omkareshwar to Statue of Unity at Kevadia. Two floating jetties will be provided to Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, out of which this jetty has been delivered to Madhya Pradesh.
