RAM Mandir : Shri RAM Alphabet DP Status 2024

The date of consecration of the Ram temple being built in Ayodhya is getting closer. However, stories of crores of Ram devotees are coming up related to their resolutions and memories of their adored Shri Ram. Talking about one such spirit, the thirty year old promise of the country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also going to be fulfilled.

14 January 1992 when PM Modi took 'Ram Pratigya'

That date was January 14, 1992, when PM Modi, like many Ram devotees, was in Ayodhya to have darshan of his idol. On the same day, the time had passed for the fulfillment of the emotional resolution he had taken after having darshan of Ramlala at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. On January 22, when the consecration of Ramlala's temple will be completed. With this, PM Modi's Ram resolution will also be fulfilled. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the chief host of the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony. God's own face is visible first through the mirror. In such a situation, PM Modi will visit Ramlala following this tradition. With this, Modi's almost three decade old 'Ram Pratigya' will end.

1528: Mughal emperor Babar's commander Mir Baqi built the Babri Masjid.

1885: Mahant Raghubir Das filed a petition in the Faizabad district court seeking permission to erect an awning outside the disputed structure. The court rejected the petition.

1949: Statues of Ram Lalla were installed in the central dome outside the disputed structure.

1950: Gopal Simla Visharad filed a petition in the Faizabad district court to get the right to worship the idols of Ramlala.

1950: Paramhans Ramchandra Das filed a petition to continue the puja and keep the idols.

1959: Nirmohi Akhara filed a petition to give rights over the land.

1981: Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board filed a petition for rights over the site.

February 1, 1986: Local court orders the government to open the place for Hindu devotees for the purpose of worship.

14 August 1986: Allahabad High Court ordered to maintain status quo for the disputed structure.

Ram Mandir Case Result of Ram Mandir 6 December 1992: Ram Janmabhoomi - Babri Masjid structure was demolished.

April 3, 1993: Center passed 'Acquisition of Certain Area in Ayodhya Act' to acquire land in the disputed site. Several writ petitions were filed in the Allahabad High Court regarding various aspects of the Act. Ismail Farooqui's petition is also included in these. The Supreme Court, using its powers under Article 139A, transferred the writ petitions which were pending in the High Court.

24 October 1994: The Supreme Court said in the historic Ismail Farooqui case that the mosque is not associated with Islam.

Supreme Court Judgment on Ram Mandir Case April 2002: Hearing started in the High Court regarding the ownership rights of the disputed site.

March 13, 2003: Supreme Court said in Aslam alias Bhure case, no religious activity of any kind is allowed on the acquired site.

September 30, 2010: The Supreme Court, with a 2:1 majority, ordered to divide the disputed area into three parts between Sunni Waqf Board, Nirmohi Akhara and Ram Lalla.

9 May 2011: Supreme Court stayed the High Court's decision in the Ayodhya land dispute.

26 February 2016: Subramaniam Swamy filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding construction of Ram temple at the disputed site.

March 21, 2017: CJI JS Khehar suggested an out-of-court settlement between the parties concerned.

November 9 2019 : The bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogai will give its verdict. It was heard for 40 consecutive days from August 6.
