If the SIM card is lost
If the old SIM card is lost or damaged, you will have to go through a detailed verification process when you buy a new SIM card. This will be the same process as when buying a new SIM. This is because it can be ensured that the SIM card gets to the same person whose SIM is lost or damaged. These new rules aim to keep SIM cards secure and help prevent fraudsters from getting access to phones.
